I Am Weasel (or I Are Baboon) is an American cartoon produced by Cartoon Network in co-production with Hanna-Barbera, created by David Feiss and broadcasted on the Cartoon Network (and now Boomerang). Its basic premise is a somewhat twisted take on the classic nursery rhyme "Pop Goes the Weasel"; in fact, the theme song of the series, composed by Bill Fulton[1] and April March, is based on the well-known musical version of the rhyme.[3]

I Am Weasel was originally a part of the Cow and Chicken show, often airing as the third of three segments in a episode, after two Cow and Chicken segments. I Am Weasel was this series' equivalent of a spin-off involving a secondary character, in relation to how "Pinky and the Brain" was adapted from "Animaniacs". Eventually, the segment became popular enough that I Am Weasel was spun off into its own series, aired between January 1, 1996 to December 31, 1999 with reruns airing until 2004. The show featured 71 episodes, spread across five seasons. With both new episodes and the episodes that had aired on Cow and Chicken. The show has reruns played on Boomerang.
Premise[]
This spin-off series involves two rivals, I.R Baboon and I. M. Weasel. I. R. Baboon is trying to be the center of attention and overthrow I. M. Weasel, who is the main character of the show at that point. The show's episodes mainly consisted of Weasel stampeding I. R. Baboon's success. The last episode, however, featured Weasel, Baboon and the Red Character as the last people on earth, when I. R. Baboon is revealed to be the true star of the show.
