Plot[]
Chicken, Flem, and Earl are packing their things for a camping trip in the tree fort. They go over their checklist while Cow overhears. She gets excited and asks to go along, too, packing her backpack. Chicken says she can't go with them because she's a girl. Dad overhears this, and says that Chicken needs to be a good big brother and let his sister come along. Chicken begrudgingly agrees. Up in the tree fort, Cow sets up her mattress, and tucks in her stuffed animals, kissing them all good night. The boys make fun of her, but stop laughing when they see her pulling a dreamcatcher out of her bag and hanging it on the wall behind her. Chicken asks about it, and Cow explains that all of her bad dreams are in the woven strings on the dreamcatcher. Chicken says the dreamcatcher is stupid and goes to touch it, but Cow slaps his hand away, warning he will die the death of a thousand flies if he damages it. Cow promptly goes to sleep.
Chicken still isn't convinced and takes the dreamcatcher off the wall. Flem and Earl are afraid, but calm down when nothing happens. The boys play around with the dreamcatcher, throwing it like a frisbee, pretending its a banjo, and Chicken uses it as a trampoline. He jumps too high and crashes back down, tearing the strings of the dreamcatcher. A yellow substance flows from the ring of the dreamcatcher, covering the tree fort. It forms a puddle on the ceiling, which starts dripping. The drops turn into animals with udders and floating snacks. The boys watch in awe as the dream goo makes more fantastical things appear. Cow suddenly starts tossing and turning in her sleep. A giant, scary milkman emerges from her head, snarling at the boys. He lunges at the boys, saying he's going to milk the three of them to death.
The boys run down the ladder of the tree fort and narrowly escape the Milkman. Chicken says they need to wake up Cow before the Milkman comes back. The boys climb back up into the fort and try several methods to wake Cow up, but none work. The Milkman climbs back up in to the tree fort and grabs the boys. He hooks them all up to milking machines, which start sucking the boys up into the hoses. Chicken screams for Cow to wake up, but she still doesn't open her eyes. Chicken's body gets mostly sucked into the hose, causing some of his feathers to fall off. One of the feathers lands on Cow's nose, and this wakes her up. The Milkman disappears, as do his milking machines. Cow says that she had an awful dream, and the battered boys all say "You don't say?" before passing out.
Trivia[]
- The tree fort in this episode is the same one as the short, only it’s nighttime instead of daytime.
